Taiwan Wedding Celebration Galore!

Hello pals! I'm really excited about writing this blog. Finally, I had the time to write this post because it's just now that I and hubby are free from all the busyness. All our visitors from the Philippines went home and are happy! Praise the Lord. We decided to make this day our rest day so, right now, we are in Taipei. We will be going to the province on Thursday till Christmas to join the lovely in-laws there. Thinking of the 10 long-hour drive from Taipei to there made me wanted my hubby to rest for a day. He's the only one driving so I wanted him to be in good condition.

So, we had a lot of fun since our arrival here last December 1! Joined and bonded with the family and saw my sister-in-law when she was in labor! Seeing her in the hospital made us all felt better.

About the wedding reception, I couldn't believe and have not imagined that it was held for about 3 times here in Taiwan! One in the church, one in the province and one in Taipei. And each reception had 600-1000 guests! NO kidding! Well, the good thing is, it was all shouldered by my father-in-law who is preparing to be friends with people for his senatorial campaign. Yes, a very political one. The wedding reception's aim was actually for his nearing campaign. Haha. Still, it was an awesome experience.

These photos were taken at Taitung, Taiwan- my husband's hometown.

So, I think, I couldn't ask for more because I had my dream wedding which I never thought would happen. Thank you Lord for the surprises! Next on the plans list: baby! hihi.

Dresses to Wear for Formal Occasions

It's my best friend's wedding already this coming Friday and I have yet to decide what to wear. I have several dresses in my closet but I still am looking for the best type of dress for this very special occasion as well as to feel comfortable because I'll be singing on the event.  Well, browsing the internet helps me a lot. The wedding starts at 5 in the afternoon so it's gonna be an evening wedding for sure. A good time to wear long type of dresses with vibrant colors! I hope that by tomorrow, I can finally decide what to wear and feel beautiful and comfortable in it. Here are some random dresses I saw in the web that would truly make you feel like a young, pretty lady yourself! above the knee dresses? or long gowns? mmm.. I have to decide quick!

My Wedding Dress

Hello everyone! Since I ran out of topics to blog about, I resorted to a thinking that I'd be blogging about everything that happened to my wedding, just recently (June 2011). From the things and needs that I bought, photos, to the memorabilias that I treasure. I hope you bear with me. Hihi! So here, I started it with my wedding dress! To refresh my memories, I bought this wedding gown on the month of my wedding already. It was 2 weeks before my big day! All I heard from my loved ones was blame because I haven't prioritized it but come on! It's because I was too busy planning everything. Huhu. ;( So, after several fittings in Divisoria,  here's what I liked the most. It could be very simple but it struck my heart when I tried it on. Well, you can tell since I'm a simple woman. This wedding dress is made from a pure white silk cloth and fine linings. There's not much design on it but I like how those sequins were sewn perfectly on top. With this wh...

Why Women are Said to be Stronger than Men

Watching TV Patrol tonight made me think about the fact that men could be stronger than women "physically", but... I disagree. This thought arose since circumcision is up again this summer and most of young teenagers, children and even men of matured age are getting their 'tool' circumcised. Don't lift that eyebrows just yet my dear men readers, because this is not something to compete with you nor be debated. Okay, then.. Debate is welcome here. I've actually discussed about this with my husband earlier and it was a healthy debate! TV Patrol tonight featured the season for circumcision once again with of course, Marc Logan as the story-teller to make it more fun. As I was watching and entertained by the way Marc reported it, I saw the pain from those young men's faces while undergoing the circumcision process. Some were circumcised by a doctor, and others were done by soldiers on mission and "manunuli" in town.  Well, we cannot d...
