Hubby Got a New IPad2!

Finally, the long awaited dream of having this gadget for my husband has come to an end. He now holds a brand new IPad2 which we just bought today here in Taiwan because it's cheaper here compared to the Philippines. We got it for only 15,000 Taiwan Dollar compared to the Philippine mall cost of P25,000 the least. Calculating the exchange rate of the cost here in Taiwan, $15,000 NT is only Php 21,000. So, it's a wise choice to wait and buy it here. My hubby looks really happy and contented that he now owns one! It's been like 6 months since he started studying about this gadget online and would always not miss on looking at it whenever we pass by a store or walk inside a mall. This technology will help him a lot with his work especially when preaching. Thinking of that smile he now has and that joy after having this in hand makes me joyful as well. The Lord is really good for granting requests! Thank you Lord for this blessing! Well, I'm still the winner of holding it

Taiwan Wedding Celebration Galore!

Hello pals! I'm really excited about writing this blog. Finally, I had the time to write this post because it's just now that I and hubby are free from all the busyness. All our visitors from the Philippines went home and are happy! Praise the Lord. We decided to make this day our rest day so, right now, we are in Taipei. We will be going to the province on Thursday till Christmas to join the lovely in-laws there. Thinking of the 10 long-hour drive from Taipei to there made me wanted my hubby to rest for a day. He's the only one driving so I wanted him to be in good condition.  So, we had a lot of fun since our arrival here last December 1! Joined and bonded with the family and saw my sister-in-law when she was in labor! Seeing her in the hospital made us all felt better.  About the wedding reception, I couldn't believe and have not imagined that it was held for about 3 times here in Taiwan! One in the church, one in the province and one in Taipei. And each reception

Lovely Gifts From Bella and Mommy Rovie!

I just arrived home  last night from a really long and busy day. Then there's my neighbor who handed me an LBC packed gift from Rovie! So happy to have received it today since I'm gonna be leaving for Taiwan tomorrow night. It's not a surprise actually because I personally asked for Bella's birthday souvenir but it felt really good to see it actually. I mean, I realized that virtual friends are really thoughtful and caring. So much for a lot of intro, here's a little something that made me smile and happy tonight! a touching note.. ;)  kissing Bella dear! Thank you so much Mommy Rovie and Bella for these cute gifts!

Sweet Saturday 24: Gifts I'll Love for Christmas

I missed a lot at SS and now here I am catching up! About gifts, it's funny because I and my husband don't surprise each other. We talk about it. I don't know but we think that it's fun this way. But still surprising in a way because we don't get to know what the both of us are going to receive from each other until we've opened the gifts. But you know what's more funny? We set a price on it! Haha. Parang exchange gift talaga! We've been doing this for about several years already. And I would usually rumble on gifts that he actually needs such as wallets, belts, polo shirts, and this very special gift that I gave him last year, a silver necklace with a golden cross pendant which he uses every Sunday! I love seeing those gifts being used regularly. And now, I know what to give him! A Bench Potion blue! This cologne left a mark in my heart. This is the cologne that he was wearing when we were going out on our first dates. The smell made me love him. It&#

Women's Choice Blog Makeover

Finally, I got the time to make some changes in this blog. This is the last among my other blogs that I personalized. After making some changes on Ate Rovie's blog, The Woman in Me , which I also designed, I hovered into designing this one. Now, I'm very satisfied with it's new look especially that cute header image! I'm still learning my way with photoshop and so far, making headers with it is fun and enjoying!  Now, I don't have any problem with my sidebar because of it's borders plus that 3 column footer that made my widgets looked very organized. I've made another new template also aside from this. It's chic and very cute! I will be posting about it soon. Well, I think, blog designing is another new found hobby for me these days! *wink*

GT: My Planned Foods for the Holidays

Hmm.. This week's topic made me think about those foods that a typical Filipino home have during holiday seasons. Just right in time for planning the menu! Well, this picture are the foods I'm planning to share with my family. Since, I'm not good at cooking a lot of food right now because I'm just recently married and so I'll be asking my mom to be with me on cooking these dishes. My mom is really a good cook, well, for many years of experience. And I admire her for that. I'm just so excited and I'm very giddy on how happy it is to share these 'handa' with my family and husband.  Aside from the foods above, here are the desserts/foods that I will never miss putting on our table this Christmas and New Year: biko with gata fruit salad ginataang bilo-bilo maja blanca crispy pata  white spaghetti egg pie from Goldilocks puto palabok

My Asthma Article on Triond Earned A Lot of Views!

I'm really happy to see that this article about " Effective Home Remedies for Asthma " which I wrote recently, already earned a total number of 400 views! I know that it's still a little number compared to my other writer friends there who are not only earning lots of views but earning lots of bucks already. Well, I'm starting to see good results now since I joined this Triond Trends community for Triond writers like me and gain readership through it. It's really a lot of help! My articles would usually stop earning hits of 50 views only and remain in that number. Indeed, Facebook is a good site to earn readership for my articles.  To my blogger friends, please do take time to read some of my articles on Triond. I will truly appreciate visits and comments dropped if you can! Just roll down on this blog, till you see this widget just there on my right sidebar. You can also browse articles right from this widget in this post.  Also, if you want to look

Sweet Saturday 19: Keys To A Happy Marriage – Trials

I thought that I was gonna miss this week's SS topic! Well, I can't help it but I'm always glad to contribute to Sweet Saturday Meme because this helps me and a lot of other women in their marriage. And I'm sure that this is not only about sharing ups and downs in one's marriage but also about being able to learn from other's experiences as well. So much about this introduction, let me start talking about this interesting topic - 'Trials'. I know that everyone, married or not, do encounter trials in life and relationships whether we like it or not. It's just part of our lives that can't be avoided.  In my relationship with hubby, in the first few years of being together, it was tough having to face hardships yet we regard trials as a way for us to be stronger together. Thinking of the fact that our cultures differ, as well as our different personalities, trials will likely occur. It was hard for us at first,  but as we know, trials will

WARNING: Contact Lenses Can Make You Blind for Life

I know that a lot of us wanted to look better. And in this highly advanced era, people have created ways on how to accessorize even our looks! Who wouldn't want that, right?  Well, contact lenses is one of the many things that have been accessorized these days. Besides from the fact that it's the substitute for eyeglasses in order to look cooler and younger, it now comes with different styles and colors! The sad thing is, contact lenses could make a person blind permanently, IF not taking precautions carefully. And so, I'd like to share this story to you that was shared to me on Facebook. A 21 year old guy had worn a pair of contact lenses during a barbecue party. (An event or meal at which food is cooked outdoors over an open grill or fire) While barbecuing, he stared at the fire charcoals continuously for 2-3 minutes. Shortly after that, he started to scream for help and moved rapidly, jumping up and down. No one in the party knew why he was doing this.

Sweet Saturday 18: Fidelity in Marriage

Even though that me and hubby were just married, I know in my heart that I could trust him with his love and faithfulness. For 6 years of being in a relationship prior to our marriage, there's a lot of proof that I'm the only one in his heart and will always be and that made me just felt really assured when he finally proposed to me.  Long before I married him, my husband has the assurance that he is the only man in my life for as long as I live. At our wedding, my vows to him were from the heart. The "I will be faithful to you" line in my written vows (we preferred making our own vows) made him broke in tears and held my hand so tight. This made him cry because this has hurt him in his past relationship before he met me. I cried too as I was listening to his lovely vows. We are in love and happy and blessed and I know it's all because we put God to be in the center of our relationship. But I'd like to turn this blog to what I learned from my paren

It's My Hubby's Birthday Today!

When it comes to our loved ones, I know that a lot of us are creative on how to greet a special person on his/her birth day. There goes a handmade card, a simple cupcake with a candle on it, a serenade maybe, a popping balloon with a message inside it or name it because there's a lot more!  Well, it's my husband's birthday today! I didn't have the time to buy him a gift because we just arrived home last night from processing all the papers for us to go to Taiwan for our honeymoon and to have bonding moments with his parents there. And so, I waited the time to tick on 12 in the middle of the night. He was still awake and watching in his laptop. What I did was, I cooked his favorite noodles and gave it to him and sang him a happy birthday song and told him to look at his facebook account because I sent a simple photo edited birthday greeting for him. I saw his smile and he hugged and kissed me. This is the ever first birthday we celebrated as a married couple a

Sweet Saturday 17: Keys to a Happy Marriage #1 - Communication

This week's topic on Sweet Saturday is very interesting and I'll answer 2 out of  4 questions. What are the things that you have learned in your marriage about communication? I and my husband are still in the honeymoon stage for we're only married for almost 4 months. But I could say that communication is really a big part and an essential tool for a happy marriage. We may be beginning as a married couple but being boyfriend/girlfriend for 6 years, we've learned a lot. It gave us the time to know more about each other's likes and dislikes and MOST of all is that, we learned to communicate through talking. It's very important to us since we come from different race. (He's a Taiwanese and I, a Filipino) And so, it's a must to tell each other our feelings and opinions. When is the time when it's hard for you and your partner to communicate?  I have a very funny story about this. There was a time when I had something that I wanted him to

Redesigning My Blog Sites

As much as I want to improve my blog sites, I've come to learn basic tweaking with HTML. I thought of making and putting some personal touch on my sites and because I can't afford to hire a designer to do it for me, I decided to learn it myself. Great for me, coz I found myself enjoying with my designs with the help of a little knowledge with Microsoft Publisher and tips from designers there is online. Turned out that it's really easy making my sites' look to the way I want them to be that they all show my personality on each designs! Here are the 2 sites I've worked on recently.  www.athomeakodito.blogspot.com www.dellechen.blogspot.com I'll be designing 2 more sites ( Women's Choice and Rona's Reviews ) soon! And I'm just thrilled of what they would turn out to be! Also, to add up, I got this inspiration from Kha who's been designing her own blogs as well and even accepts blog designing for friends!

Yellow Scrapbook Design!

I just joined in to this MEME I recently discovered called MELLOW YELLOW MONDAY because I really love joining into Memes so to have a lot more blogger friends and enjoy everything that has to do with blogging. This week's topic is all about yellow. Those interested are asked to post any photos with little or a lot of yellow. And so, since I just loved making my designs with digital scrap booking, I made this to participate in Mellow Yellow Monday! I was browsing the web and I got struck by the beauty of online scrapbook designs! So, I downloaded some free materials there is and tried what I can do with it. Found myself enjoying with my own designs. That little girl is me when I was 4 years old and I still can recall that that yellow dress was my most favorite Sunday dress that I always check on it inside my closet. So cute! I love what I did with this and I hope you all like it!  Was thinking and got into conclusion that this is a great idea for making invitation for birthdays,

GT: Orange Pants!

This is my first entry to Girls Talk! Hiya girls! So, here's one that I'd like to share about this week's topic, "Orangey"! I was crazy about orange way back when I was a kid. Anything that relates to that color just delight my eyes. It's my second favorite now since I discovered that pink is now capturing my heart. I think, I'm just a fan of happy colors. Seeing items with these colors makes me happy and jolly as ever. Check me out wearing this orange pants and that wide smile on! Hihi. I bought this 2 years ago and till now it's still loved and being worn from time to time. Sorry about the resolution. I did take a picture of my pants a while ago, too bad that my phone couldn't send it to my laptop via bluetooth for reason that I still have to figure out. c",)  Well, I'll be joining Girls Talk and submit entries from now on. It's always fun when girls talk! (^___^)
