Redesigning My Blog Sites

As much as I want to improve my blog sites, I've come to learn basic tweaking with HTML. I thought of making and putting some personal touch on my sites and because I can't afford to hire a designer to do it for me, I decided to learn it myself. Great for me, coz I found myself enjoying with my designs with the help of a little knowledge with Microsoft Publisher and tips from designers there is online. Turned out that it's really easy making my sites' look to the way I want them to be that they all show my personality on each designs! Here are the 2 sites I've worked on recently.  www.athomeakodito.blogspot.com www.dellechen.blogspot.com I'll be designing 2 more sites ( Women's Choice and Rona's Reviews ) soon! And I'm just thrilled of what they would turn out to be! Also, to add up, I got this inspiration from Kha who's been designing her own blogs as well and even accepts blog designing for friends!

Yellow Scrapbook Design!

I just joined in to this MEME I recently discovered called MELLOW YELLOW MONDAY because I really love joining into Memes so to have a lot more blogger friends and enjoy everything that has to do with blogging. This week's topic is all about yellow. Those interested are asked to post any photos with little or a lot of yellow. And so, since I just loved making my designs with digital scrap booking, I made this to participate in Mellow Yellow Monday! I was browsing the web and I got struck by the beauty of online scrapbook designs! So, I downloaded some free materials there is and tried what I can do with it. Found myself enjoying with my own designs. That little girl is me when I was 4 years old and I still can recall that that yellow dress was my most favorite Sunday dress that I always check on it inside my closet. So cute! I love what I did with this and I hope you all like it!  Was thinking and got into conclusion that this is a great idea for making invitation for birthdays,

GT: Orange Pants!

This is my first entry to Girls Talk! Hiya girls! So, here's one that I'd like to share about this week's topic, "Orangey"! I was crazy about orange way back when I was a kid. Anything that relates to that color just delight my eyes. It's my second favorite now since I discovered that pink is now capturing my heart. I think, I'm just a fan of happy colors. Seeing items with these colors makes me happy and jolly as ever. Check me out wearing this orange pants and that wide smile on! Hihi. I bought this 2 years ago and till now it's still loved and being worn from time to time. Sorry about the resolution. I did take a picture of my pants a while ago, too bad that my phone couldn't send it to my laptop via bluetooth for reason that I still have to figure out. c",)  Well, I'll be joining Girls Talk and submit entries from now on. It's always fun when girls talk! (^___^)

Bride's Maid Gowns

When I was still brainstorming with myself and the internet on what would be the best gown style for my entourage, it occurred to me that it’s not that easy when you’re on it already. You know, picking the best color, style, cloth texture, budget.. Oh, surreal! Ideas came pouring back and forth in my mind, that I ended up deciding to just buy cloth for them and they’d be picking their own designs. I was kind of thankful about 2 things since they agreed on my decision. First is, I didn’t have the hard time at all on what style that will fit their figure and their taste. Second is, I was able to save money for they shouldered tailoring their own gowns. Wise, isn’t it? Hihi. Forgive me for not being able to upload my maids' gowns due to slow connection, but then I’d like to share these beautiful designs I got from the web. I chose maroon because it caught my eye of its elegance and simplicity. Plus, it was perfect for an evening wedding!

Sweet Saturday 15: Not His Taste

I'm new to being a homemaker for I recently got married. My husband is the number one fan of my recipes! That, I do not know if he's just making compliments to make me not get tired of cooking for him. Lol! But kidding aside, he's a wonderful husband and his love language is by appreciating everything that I do for him. I believe that while practicing this newly acquired skill, I'm learning to the best I can.  But of course, I do have failed recipes too. That can't be avoided. There was this time when I cooked chicken curry for the first time. I was kind of very careful and paranoid with the procedures and all although I knew already how to cook it in my mind, for I always watch my mother cooking this recipe whenever I come home from work before, but cooking it on my own was a nervous thing to do. Not only because I'm not confident, really, but because I knew very well that my husband will criticize it. This is one of his favorite dish! Knowing that fact made

My Wedding Ring

The most important symbol in a wedding is the wedding rings. Many asked why we preferred this very simple design, actually not a design at all - it's the classical/traditional wedding band (just two round golden rings). These rings are very sentimental to us because my father made it! He's a goldsmith and we asked him to make our rings long before we planned the wedding. He felt respected and honored for being asked to do so and I knew that would make him happy. We brought the materials to him and he finished doing it as soon as possible. The rings were already with us 2 weeks before our big day. I love just how he made these rings for us and we never take it off our fingers.

My Wedding Dress

Hello everyone! Since I ran out of topics to blog about, I resorted to a thinking that I'd be blogging about everything that happened to my wedding, just recently (June 2011). From the things and needs that I bought, photos, to the memorabilias that I treasure. I hope you bear with me. Hihi! So here, I started it with my wedding dress! To refresh my memories, I bought this wedding gown on the month of my wedding already. It was 2 weeks before my big day! All I heard from my loved ones was blame because I haven't prioritized it but come on! It's because I was too busy planning everything. Huhu. ;( So, after several fittings in Divisoria,  here's what I liked the most. It could be very simple but it struck my heart when I tried it on. Well, you can tell since I'm a simple woman. This wedding dress is made from a pure white silk cloth and fine linings. There's not much design on it but I like how those sequins were sewn perfectly on top. With this wh

The Simplest Job I Ever Dreamed of Doing

When I was a little girl and we were living in this small town in our province, my mother used to bring me with her to a grocery store. Funny as it is, the best part for me is not the buying thing, it's when we pay at the cashier. In that cute age, I admire how cashiers do their work. I love how they focus on their job, punching those items that customers buy, counting the money, get the receipts, and give change. That's when I dreamed of becoming a cashier. And so, during my "alone" playtime, I would look for a calculator and then imitate what cashiers do at the grocery store. It's cute really that up until now, I still have this love for computing things with calculators. And so when I become a teacher, computing grades is the best part of the job. I was thinking that if ever I had the chance to work as a cashier, I'll grab it, not because of the salary but because of the love for the job. I just want to satisfy myself. LOL! Did you ever have the simpl

Spaghetti: My Favorite Pasta Dish

I and my husband love pasta so much in just about any kind of flavor. We always make it a point to have a taste of pasta dishes we love in a month and sometimes try new ones, and from there, we'll know if we like it and for sure we'll come back craving for more. And so, the other day, my husband asked me to cook spaghetti (since it's my favorite). Then my husband started taking pictures of me while I'm cooking. Forgive me for not uploading any photos with me in it for I was sick that time and was wearing mask so as not to cough on to the food. But here, with all my heart, I'd like you all to see my version of "Pinoy Spaghetti"! I only put several ingredients in it such as ham, hotdog and cheese. We love our pasta as simple as possible especially when there's nothing else to put. LOL! I was cleaning up the fridge that time and so we realized that we have to do some groceries already. Anyway, we had a yummy 'pinoy spaghetti' for dinner! I
