How to Cook Pininyahang Manok

Hubby and I were way too busy these past few weeks that most of our days were spent in Manila or on travels. Coming home for about a day or so in a week is enough before going out again for another scheduled travels and busyness. Now that we had time to come home yesterday, I've had the chance to cook a meal as well. We missed eating home-cooked meals too! That's how busy we are.  So here, I'd like to share with you a simple recipe. Have missed taking a photo of it though because I clearly had no time to think about anything else but to satisfy our hunger first. LOL. Yet of course, a borrowed photo from the web will go with the cooking procedure. photo: imageshock Servings: 4-6 people Ingredients:  chicken cuts (half kilo) 2 medium potatoes (chopped) 1 medium carrot (chopped) 1 piece of red and green bell pepper  3 cloves of garlic (minced) onion (medium and diced)  tomato (large and diced) evaporated milk (1/4 cup) pineapple chunks i

Why Women are Said to be Stronger than Men

Watching TV Patrol tonight made me think about the fact that men could be stronger than women "physically", but... I disagree. This thought arose since circumcision is up again this summer and most of young teenagers, children and even men of matured age are getting their 'tool' circumcised. Don't lift that eyebrows just yet my dear men readers, because this is not something to compete with you nor be debated. Okay, then.. Debate is welcome here. I've actually discussed about this with my husband earlier and it was a healthy debate! TV Patrol tonight featured the season for circumcision once again with of course, Marc Logan as the story-teller to make it more fun. As I was watching and entertained by the way Marc reported it, I saw the pain from those young men's faces while undergoing the circumcision process. Some were circumcised by a doctor, and others were done by soldiers on mission and "manunuli" in town.  Well, we cannot d

Blue Nail Art!

Hi folks! I'm so excited about writing this post but I waited so that the previous post can have at least 24 hours to stay on the homepage. I have actually posted these photos on Facebook yesterday the moment that the nail polish dried up. This new nail art on my nails right now is again courtesy of my mom! When she said that she was coming over our house yesterday, I requested to have my nails done. Well, she totally know me that well because she was on the way when she texted about coming and did not forget to bring her manicure tool set with her. Thumbs up to you my dear Mama! Not only because of this gorgeous design that you did on my nails but also because of not forgetting things that make me happy.  Just to let everybody know, my Mom started to explore her talent with nail arts just lately. I actually encouraged her to do this so that she could attract more customers. And this thing is really hot and in fashion these days. Obviously, she was instantly inspired when I

Wanting to be a Celebrity? Uh-oh, Think Not!

I'm definite that almost everybody dreamed or wished to become a celebrity someday. Actually, that's one of my wildest dream especially when I was in my teenage years. It's truly a HAPPINESS to become one if ever. But that goes with taking so much responsibility and commitment as well that could eat lots of your time at work. You could enjoy the popularity and gain so much fans from being so which could also mean, sacrificing some important hygiene for some time from too much busyness in this field. LOL! And you know what's most forgotten?  The shaving of the armpit. Well, we can understand that, right? I hope that you do.  Julia Roberts while waving at the crowd Hilary Swank forgot shaving at this very important event? What d'yah think? For how long do you think did Britney grow  that hair?  Hihi. Just for fun, folks! Have a happy weekend!

Anne Curtis Rides the MRT for the Third Time

Anne Curtis-Smith is a popular mainstay female TV host of the ABS-CBN noon time show, "It's Showtime". She was hurrying to catch call time on the said show last April 17 but got stuck in traffic. That made her thought of riding MRT which actually has been her third time! Yes. She had her first and second time experiences. The first time was when she was running late to catch Kylie Minogue at her concert here in the country last year if I'm not mistaken. She jumped out of her car, dragged her sister with her, ran and caught an MRT, and squeezed herself through the crowd to get in. Honestly, I did not notice her before but hearing this news, I instantly admired her. Well, she proved that a celebrity can be so down-to-earth and could actually ride a public transit with people. She loved the experience and had taken pictures inside the said MRT as well.  Anne and her sister's first MRT experience with tweets, "Hulaan nyo kung nasaan ako para makahabo

Heart Evangelista's Fashion

Love Marie Payawal Ongpauco, or best known as Heart Evangelista, is a 26 year old female celebrity in the Philippines. She has not only proven herself in modeling, acting, hosting and dancing but she also has tried singing and made it as part of her booming career. I've heard her sing by watching some of her videos in Youtube lately and I must say that she has the voice. She may not be a belter like Regine or Kyla but her voice is soothing to the ears. She justifies the songs that really fit her voice especially the RnB kind of songs. And one thing I love more about her is that she's smart, confident and kind-hearted person.  As far as fashion is concerned, Heart Evangelista never failed amazing her fans. I for one has always been fascinated by her beauty and amazing body. And I think that she looks gorgeous and stunning in whatever dress she wears. Her captivating smile and charming face just add more bonuses to her beauty points! Honestly, I couldn't just leave my

The 7 Last Words Worship Service

Happiness is being able to attend the 7 Last Words Worship Service this morning at San Andres Sports Complex in Manila. All the Methodists from the Southwest Metro Manila District attended. Bishop Daniel Arichea Jr. was our guest speaker. His very inspiring message once again reminded us of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. We were also inspired of his personal story from being an Atheist into knowing Christ and have not let go of Him in his life anymore.  From the moment we arrived, it was overwhelming that we have already felt the dwelling of the Lord in our midst. We sat at the upper level of the sports complex so we had a good view of the whole congregation from our place. Normally, our church, would do traditional kind of worship. But today, it was different. The whole worship was contemporary that the choice of songs and readings were very powerful. I was in awe of God's strong movement that I was moved to tears when one of the p

Sarah Geronimo's Fashion

We have seen Sarah Geronimo, the one and only Popstar Princess in the Philippines, bloom from a cute teen into a gorgeous and promising lady of her generation today. I admit that I've been her fan from the very start! What I like about her is that charming and pretty face that still manage to wow her crowd with her every performance. I must say that she transforms to a more admirable concert artist when she's on stage performing! Do you agree? She has proven that she's the one obviously from her successful concerts and sold out tickets. Not mentioning her movies with John Lhoyd Cruz and her recent with Gerald Anderson which made all of her fans once again go gaga and kilig.  Aside from her achievements, Sarah G's fashion has made her look fabulous even more! But she still remains as the conservative lady, who has never been kissed and touched. Hihi. Well, we can see it as she carries herself gracefully in her every wardrobe.  Sarah in a casual attire (
