The most important symbol in a wedding is the wedding rings. Many asked why we preferred this very simple design, actually not a design at all - it's the classical/traditional wedding band (just two round golden rings).
These rings are very sentimental to us because my father made it! He's a goldsmith and we asked him to make our rings long before we planned the wedding. He felt respected and honored for being asked to do so and I knew that would make him happy. We brought the materials to him and he finished doing it as soon as possible. The rings were already with us 2 weeks before our big day. I love just how he made these rings for us and we never take it off our fingers.
we have the same wedding ring!!

This is just wonderful. It's great that your father is a goldsmith, it has its advantages, right? My husband got my ring at a pawn shop, he gave it to me 2 years before we finally got married and it has never left my ring finger since then. Like what you said, it's not the ring, for me..it's the love that the ring binds. We've been planning to have another set of ring, but I refused to replace this one that I have, I guess I can't get my finger get really fat, otherwise I would have to have it removed :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit..
Simplicity is beauty. I think wedding bands are meant to be simple. Yours is extra-special for your dad made the rings himself.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
