Sweet Saturday 15: Not His Taste

I'm new to being a homemaker for I recently got married. My husband is the number one fan of my recipes! That, I do not know if he's just making compliments to make me not get tired of cooking for him. Lol! But kidding aside, he's a wonderful husband and his love language is by appreciating everything that I do for him. I believe that while practicing this newly acquired skill, I'm learning to the best I can.

But of course, I do have failed recipes too. That can't be avoided. There was this time when I cooked chicken curry for the first time. I was kind of very careful and paranoid with the procedures and all although I knew already how to cook it in my mind, for I always watch my mother cooking this recipe whenever I come home from work before, but cooking it on my own was a nervous thing to do. Not only because I'm not confident, really, but because I knew very well that my husband will criticize it. This is one of his favorite dish! Knowing that fact made me shiver and fearful for what would be his reaction and comments upon tasting it. So, to save myself from being criticized, I asked for his help. My husband is good in cooking. He just have the talent that's why I rejoice when he volunteers to cook which happens only for several times.
As I expected, he was there giving me instructions. It was perfect just that the curry powder we put was way too much that made it very spicy! Oh! But you know the good thing was, the blame was not all on me. Haha! Really, it was way too spicy that I didn't know how to remedy it to lighten up the spiciness. Good thing, I thought of slicing some cucumber. I did sip water and chew cucumber after every bite. My husband still enjoyed it though because he's used to eating spicy foods anyway. Not his taste but since it's his favorite, I was safe and that's a good experience to learn from to make it better next time!

So, here's my entry for the Sweet Saturday 15! Enjoy!

My Wedding Dress

Hello everyone! Since I ran out of topics to blog about, I resorted to a thinking that I'd be blogging about everything that happened to my wedding, just recently (June 2011). From the things and needs that I bought, photos, to the memorabilias that I treasure. I hope you bear with me. Hihi! So here, I started it with my wedding dress! To refresh my memories, I bought this wedding gown on the month of my wedding already. It was 2 weeks before my big day! All I heard from my loved ones was blame because I haven't prioritized it but come on! It's because I was too busy planning everything. Huhu. ;( So, after several fittings in Divisoria,  here's what I liked the most. It could be very simple but it struck my heart when I tried it on. Well, you can tell since I'm a simple woman. This wedding dress is made from a pure white silk cloth and fine linings. There's not much design on it but I like how those sequins were sewn perfectly on top. With this wh...

Valentine's Dinner Date

My hubby and I had an early Valentines dinner date which was last Sunday night. He always hate traffic which is expected on that sweet day. And so, he thought of having dinner with me earlier at Don Henrico's along Midtown Plaza! I was like grinning in excitement to taste this 14" pizza! I'm a pizza lover and my hubby exactly knows that. We also chose this special spot where there is this dim light so it looked even more romantic. Sorry, I only had taken a picture of the pizza for too much excitement to bite a slice. See that moved slice already? I was grabbing one when I remembered to take picture. And that couple in front of us wearing those exact same tshirt is an evidence that Valentines Day could be anytime! So fun! Just a very wise decision you two. You did the right thing of dating earlier just as we did! Linking with:

Women's Choice Finally Became a Domain!

It's just only last week when I celebrated and blogged about having my review site Rona's Reviews , become a domain which is courtesy of Algene as a reward for making her a blog makeover. This time, once again, it's Ate Rovie who rewarded me this! First was my designs site, Rona's Fun Designs and now this blog. Both of which are rewards too for making her a new makeover for her Journey blog. And by the way, I've made it really cute and chic and I did enjoy designing it. For you to have a quick peek, hover over this link: www.roviebren.info All in all, I've got 3 domains now among my 5 blogs! And they all are gifts of friendship for being able to help and be helped. Actually, I never aspired to have my own domains before but seeing my links now makes me feel blessed and happy. Krizza is right, my blog designing brought me to this exciting level. And so, before I end this post, to you my fellow bloggers, please do support my designs site here and like its Faceb...
