I'm new to being a homemaker for I recently got married. My husband is the number one fan of my recipes! That, I do not know if he's just making compliments to make me not get tired of cooking for him. Lol! But kidding aside, he's a wonderful husband and his love language is by appreciating everything that I do for him. I believe that while practicing this newly acquired skill, I'm learning to the best I can.
But of course, I do have failed recipes too. That can't be avoided. There was this time when I cooked chicken curry for the first time. I was kind of very careful and paranoid with the procedures and all although I knew already how to cook it in my mind, for I always watch my mother cooking this recipe whenever I come home from work before, but cooking it on my own was a nervous thing to do. Not only because I'm not confident, really, but because I knew very well that my husband will criticize it. This is one of his favorite dish! Knowing that fact made me shiver and fearful for what would be his reaction and comments upon tasting it. So, to save myself from being criticized, I asked for his help. My husband is good in cooking. He just have the talent that's why I rejoice when he volunteers to cook which happens only for several times.
As I expected, he was there giving me instructions. It was perfect just that the curry powder we put was way too much that made it very spicy! Oh! But you know the good thing was, the blame was not all on me. Haha! Really, it was way too spicy that I didn't know how to remedy it to lighten up the spiciness. Good thing, I thought of slicing some cucumber. I did sip water and chew cucumber after every bite. My husband still enjoyed it though because he's used to eating spicy foods anyway. Not his taste but since it's his favorite, I was safe and that's a good experience to learn from to make it better next time!
So, here's my entry for the Sweet Saturday 15! Enjoy!

It's so sweet that you and your hubby cooked a dish together, and even if that didn't come out perfectly, still it's the effort that counts :)
